Hillside Ministry is the English-speaking ministry of Los Angeles Christian Presbyterian Church (LACPC), which began in 1975 as a predominantly Korean-speaking church. Hillside Ministry enjoys its cooperative ministry relationship with the LACPC Korean-speaking ministry as one local church in the body of Christ. Our purpose at Hillside Ministry is to connect with God and His church, cultivate maturity and purpose, and commission lives that fulfill God's calling.  Come and join a community of believers that desires to know God and His love and to make God known. LACPC’s rich history began in September of 1975, when a few families began gathering regularly for corporate prayer meetings. As membership of these gatherings quickly grew, the young body of believers formed Calvin Presbyterian Church on January 4th, 1976, with Reverend Eui Hwan Kim serving as the founding pastor. In December 1976, the church changed its name to Los Angeles Korean Christian Reformed Church and moved to 857 S. La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles. In April 1984, the church moved to its current location in the Hillside Village/El Sereno community of Los Angeles. In January 1992, Reverend Young Jin Kim assumed responsibilities as Senior Pastor and continues to serve today. In December 1993, the church changed its name to its current name, Los Angeles Christian Presbyterian Church. Although LACPC has Presbyterian roots in the Christian Reformed Church denomination, the church is currently a member of the Hapdong Presbyterian Church of America.
